Say hello to the first-ever 2025 Kia K4! This brand new compact sedan has replaced the popular Kia Forte as the brand’s entry level sedan, sitting right behind the Kia K5. Longer and wider than the Forte, the 2025 Kia K4 offers a roomy interior with plenty of space for front and rear passengers including class-leading 2nd-row legroom, while also offering a fastback look with a conventional trunk in lieu of a hatchback. Significant tech updates abound inside the K4, including an available digital cockpit that features nearly 30-inches of total combined digital instrumentation so you can easily access vehicle information, infotainment and available multi-view cameras. Vertically oriented taillights and headlights compliment the new styling of the 2025 Kia K4, which follows the signature look of the K5, while the GT-line models also get a distinctive front and rear fascia. Engine Specs and MPG Ratings
All models including the LX, LXS, and EX benefit from the same engine that powered the Forte, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that delivers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a continuously variable transmission. Later in the year, the 2025 Kia K4 GT-Line Turbo will be available, and upgrades to a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that blasts out 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes with a more sophisticated multi-link rear suspension. Fuel economy ratings vary by trim, with the base LX expected to hit 30 MPG in the city and an impressive 40 MPG on the highway, and the LXS and EX dipping just a touch at 29 MPG city and 39 MPG highway. Estimated MPG ratings for the GT-Line up have yet to be released, but we expect them to mirror the Forte Turbo at 27/35 MPG city/highway.
Interior Highlights
Buyers in Modesto, Tracy, Stockton and Manteca are pumped about the significant interior upgrade of the K4 compared to the outgoing Forte. The design is clean and minimalistic, with an available infotainment and digital gauge screen that’s combined into one, while climate functions sit separately for easy access. Like we said above, the larger dimensions of the 2025 Kia K4 allow for more headroom and legroom compared to the Forte, and customers can expect a reasonable 14.6 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk. Color options abound for the interior of the K4, with Medium Gray, Slate Green, and a unique two-tone Onyx and Off-White combination available on select trims. Trim Offerings

Adding onto the base features of the LX, the LXS gets several more exterior color options including Currant Red and Deep Sea Blue, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, a six-speaker audio system, 16-inch alloy wheels in a Dark Grey finish, and a few extra safety features like blind-spot collision warning, safe exit warning, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist.
EX
The EX model boasts some more luxurious amenities like dual-zone automatic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels with a Black Machined finish, a SynTex-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector, a wireless phone charger, premium cloth seat trim, Satin Chrome interior door handles, a 12.3-inch instrument display, and a Gloss Black front grille.
GT-Line
A bold embodiment of performance and style, the GT-Line comes with Gloss Black trim and accents, a distinct front and rear fascia, 18-inch sport alloy wheels, a three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, that Ultra Wide sunroof we mentioned earlier, and a premium Harman Kardon Audio System
